New Mediation Services from Venters

Venters Solicitors have opened a new Mediation Services department. Mediation will be available from the new Reigate office as well as from Camberwell.

Mediation is an alternative method of resolving a dispute. We specialize in family and civil mediation. This means that we are qualified to mediate in cases involving family separation/divorce/finance and children matters. We are also qualified to mediate in cases involving all forms of civil dispute including employment law, neighbour dispute, contract dispute and many forms of dispute which could be pursued either through a tribunal or court, in the event of agreement not being achievable.

As mediators we are conscious of the need for clients to achieve agreement, if at all possible, because it is well recognized that agreed solutions are more likely to succeed than arrangements imposed by the Court. It is also a far more cost effective method of resolving a dispute and is usually far quicker than court proceedings.

Mediation is a voluntary process and so requires both participants to want to enter into and continue with the process. It is also confidential. We respect each participant'€™s position but we do not judge or offer advice. Instead we seek to facilitate negotiations between the participants and help them work towards a solution which is acceptable to them both.
