The government defines controlling or coercive behaviour as the acts designed to make a person feel inferior and/or dependent by keeping them apart from friends, help and support. It can include taking advantage of their money and things they have, stopping their independence, and controlling what they want to do. Someone subjected to this may feel isolated, trapped and deprived of independence.

Coercive Behaviour

Coercive behaviour or coercive control is when a person with whom you are personally connected repeatedly behaves in a way that makes you feels threatened, humiliated and intimidated leaving you feeling controlled, isolated and frightened for your safety.

What sets us apart from many other family solicitors is that we have lawyers who are specifically accredited as specialists in this field and thus able to provide you with the support and guidance needed to protect you from such abuse. These include:

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY:

They saved my life as a father. June Venters just saved my case and I could see my daughter after 19 months of a legal dispute. I can't thank her, and her collaborators Lauren and Laura, enough for being such great professionals.
