Farzana Khan

Farzana qualified in 2003 and she became an associate in March 2023.

Farzana joined Venters in April 2020 as a Solicitor and currently has a wide variety of cases in both private and public law Children Act matters which she specialises in. Her role as an Associate commenced on 1 March 2023.

Farzana’s caseload is varied and she deals with a variety of complex issues within both private and public children’s matters. She strives to achieve the best outcome for her clients. She is hard working, dedicated and efficient whilst being sympathetic to the difficulties a client faces. She acts with complete care, compassion and integrity when dealing with the sensitive nature of this work.

Additional language – Urdu.

In her spare time, she enjoys Art and traveling.

Farzana has experience of dealing with clients including those with mental health issues, learning difficulties or complex needs which involve allegations of domestic abuse and substance misuse as well as those cases involving complex issues including NAI skull injuries in a baby, severe parental alienation and prolific sexual abuse.

Notable Cases

Farzana represented a Father whose children had suffered parental alienation within their Mother’s care, the Court directed a change in residence in favour of the Father.

She represented a Mother who faced serious allegations of causing NAI skull fractures to her baby.

In another case Farzana represented a Mother whose child had been raped by a step parent over a number of years. The jury could not reach a verdict following two criminal trials. The step parent then sought contact to his own child which was successfully opposed.

She also represented an Uncle who sought wardship proceedings in relation to children following the tragic death of their Father (his Brother). The Uncle effectively rescued the children after they made allegations of physical abuse against their Mother.
