Laura graduated from the University of Essex in 2018 with a First Class degree in Criminology and Social Psychology and thereafter undertook the Graduate Diploma of Law and the LPC where she obtained high distinction grades.
She has always had a focus and passion in family law due to the complexity and personal nature of the work.
Laura joined Venters Solicitors in 2020 as a Paralegal and in 2021, she commenced a Training Contact within the firm. Having completed her training contract and qualifying as a Solicitor on the 7th September 2023, Laura looks forward to continuing her career within Venters Solicitors.
Throughout her time at Venters Solicitors, Laura has assisted fee earners in a variety of family law matters.
Laura is building her own caseload now that she has experience and she looks forward to continuing to do so as she approaches qualification.
She is highly dedicated to the work, demonstrates commitment and has attention to detail.
Laura is very approachable, friendly, and easy to talk to.
She has lots of experience working with vulnerable clients and in client facing roles and she can be very sympathetic and understanding when needed to be.

Laura is involved in the following work areas:-
Public law pre proceeding work, attending PLO meetings and advising on the same.
Care proceedings, from every angle. Laura has assisted fee earners representing parents, the subject children through their guardian, children directly, the Local Authority and other family members or interveners.
Many private children matters, including cases of severe parental alienation, acrimony and domestic abuse (prohibited steps orders, specific issue orders, child arrangements orders).
She has worked on private children mattes with high international elements and cross border disputes. This also includes abduction cases, from both parties’ perspectives (the left behind parent and the ‘abductor’) which often involve complex and time pressured matters.
Laura also undertakes domestic abuse matters relating to injunctions (non-molestation orders and occupation orders)
She has started to undertake divorces assisting with financial matters on the breakdown of a marriage.
