Nabila has worked in family law since 2009, starting in a supporting role, transitioning to a paralegal, onto a trainee and subsequently qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive in September 2023.
Nabila is also a CILEX Lawyer and a member of Resolution.
Nabila assists families by supervising contact and preparing reports for the use in court proceedings.
Some of Nabila's work:
- Supporting a cohabitee with an urgent application for an occupation order and on molestation order to restrict access to their joint home and surrounding advice regarding potential Trusts of Land Act and Schedule 1 Children Act claims;
- Assisting with the enforcement of a financial remedy Consent Order;
- Supporting a husband in preparing detailed financial disclosure for a Private Financial Dispute Resolution Hearing (PFDR) for speed, alongside the standard court directions listed;
- Secured an urgent order for a child to be returned to live with father, together with obtaining a final order regarding child arrangements and prohibited steps where there were welfare concerns of the child and previous social services involvement;
- Supported a wife through the arbitration process to achieve a quick and equitable financial resolution following the breakdown of a marriage;
- Provided bespoke advice to a husband, in particular regarding the family home, to include securing matrimonial homes rights and severing a joint tenancy;
- Providing advice and assistance with no fault divorce to include help with fees applications to the court;
- Advising and assisting with pension sharing upon divorce and any implementation thereafter.
